Fieldhockeytravel.com is the leading sports tour operator for hockey tours and tournaments in the Netherlands, operated by two field hockey players: Vasco van Gent and Geert Meijer. Both Geert and Vasco have played field hockey for over thirty years, and have a lot of experience in the world of tournaments. Furthermore, Vasco has worked in travel services for over ten years, and he knows all the ins and outs of organising tailored tours.

People who have tried to organise a trip with their team will recognise the difficulties that come with the process. Where can I find a great tournament? How do I arrange accommodation near the hockey club? Can I get a discount for my entire group? Often, the time and effort this process takes result in not going abroad at all.

That is were we come in! Our aim is to make the sport we all love more accessible for hockey teams and players. Whether you want to participate in a tournament anywhere in the world, visit world cup matches in New Delhi or Rosario, or want a tailored tour with matches against Dutch teams, we can arrange the entire package: transport, accommodation, tickets or tournament registration, and all for a very competitive price.

We also arrange hockey tours for national teams. For example, in the past year the Russian national hockey team has visited the Netherlands to compete against Dutch teams in preparation for the Olympic games in 2012 (see picture below). We have excellent contacts with Dutch hockey clubs, so we can arrange matches for every level of field hockey, even for national teams.

On our website, you will find a small selection of possible tours and tournaments. The reason for this is that, especially for teams from outside the Netherlands, tours have to be tailor made.
